Royal Enfield sales increase by 19% to 58,439 units in February

Eicher Motors, in the month of February 2017, sold a total of 58,439 Royal Enfields, rising by 19% from 49,156 vehicles sold in the same month of previous year.

Exports stood at 1,702 units, growing by 7% from 1,589 units of February 2016.

Sales of Royal Enfield's model with engine capacity up to 350 cc stood at 54,571 units, increasing by 25% from 43,741 units in the similar month last year.

However, Royal Enfields model with engine capacity exceeding 350CC were at 3,868 vehicles, declining  by 29% from 5415 units in February 2016. 

Year-to-date (from April 2016 - February 2017), Eicher Motors have sold a total of 6,06,377 Royal Enfields, recording a whopping rise of 33% against 4,56,834 vehicles in the corresponding period of previous year.

Shares of Eicher Motors rose above Rs 61 or 0.26% on BSE, trading at Rs 24,231 per piece.
