PowerGrid News: Maharatna PSU highlights 99.78% transmission availability at analyst meet

PowerGrid -- a Maharatna CPSE -- on Tuesday held an analysts' meeting where it showcased an average transmission system availability of more than 99.78 per cent.

Gurugram-headquartered PowerGrid Corp -- a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power -- on Tuesday conducted an analysts' meeting in Mumbai.
Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, CMD POWERGRID, in presence of G Ravisankar, Director (Finance); Dr Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel); Naveen Srivastava, Director (Operations), and senior officials interacted with the analysts at the meeting.
PowerGrid said that it has commissioned and is operating 291 sub-stations and more than 1,85,102 ckm transmission lines and 6,28,516 MVA of transformation capacity, as of April 30.
With the adoption of the latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, PowerGrid has been able to maintain an average transmission system availability of more than 99.78 per cent, it said in a statement.
