Vijay Mallya to be expelled from Rajya Sabha tomorrow?

The Ethics Committee of the Rajya Sabha may have recommended expulsion of Vijay Mallya from the Rajya Sabha.

Karan Singh, Chairman, Ethics Committee told reporters that a decision has been taken during today's meeting. He, however, declined to tell what the outcome of the meeting was.

Singh said, "It is not appropriate to announce the decision of the committee before it is tabled in the House."

Media reports on Monday said that Mallya has tendered his resignation from the Upper House after the Government revoked his diplomatic passport and asked the UK for his deportation.

Singh confirmed that the Committee has received the letter from Mallya.
