Mahindra & Mahindra SUV sales jump 16% in August

Mahindra & Mahindra on Monday reported total sales—comprising domestic sales and exports—of 76,755 vehicles in August. The monthly figure marked a 9.1 per cent increase over the corresponding period a year ago.

The Mumbai-headquartered auto major sold 43,277 sports utility vehicles (SUVs) in the domestic market last month, up 16 per cent on a year-on-year basis.

M&M sold 21,092 commercial vehicles in August, down 10.7 per cent on a year-on-year basis.
