IndiGo 6E Triple Seat Service: Book up to 3 seats for a person! Know eligibility, booking, cancellation and other details here

IndiGo has said that its passengers can book more than one seat for a single person. IndiGo is providing 6E Double Seat and 6E Triple Seat services to its passengers.

"1, 2, 3, 4.. no, we haven't forgotten counting, it's just a reminder that you can reserve more than one seat for a single person and enjoy more space in the sky!," the airline tweeted recently.

With 6E Triple Seat service, air passengers can book three seats that is one entire row for one person and get additional baggage allowance of 10 kg.

However, passengers need to note that extra seat cannot be booked for flights within 2 hours on domestic sector and within 4 hours on international sector.

Eligibility: As per the information provided by the airline, two extra seats may be purchased by a passenger in conjunction with a booking proposed to be made by a passenger on an IndiGo Flight (“Triple Seat”). The passenger whose details are filled in at the time of making a booking is also mandatorily required to travel on the itinerary booked.

Booking Channel: The Triple Seat may be purchased from IndiGo’s website www.goindigo.in only, at time of making the original booking.

While making a booking, the customer is required to select the number of Triple Seat(s) required, from the passenger(s) and Triple Seat(s) drop down list on the homepage.

Only one Triple Seat can be associated with a passenger on the Passenger details page. A Passenger whose details have been entered at the time of booking is mandatorily required to travel on the itinerary booked, whether individually or along with other persons travelling on the same PNR.

In case of a ‘no show’ or cancellation of the booking by the passenger, the Triple Seat will also get cancelled, and other passengers on the same PNR will not be allowed to utilize the Triple Seat.

Steps to book:

Step 1: Select 6E Triple Seat option for each passenger at the time of searching a flight.

Step 2: Add 6E Triple Seat option with one of the passengers.

Step 3: Select seats of your choice and click on continue to proceed.

Step 4: Your 6E Triple Seat has been applied and booking is complete.

Applicability and Exclusions: Applicable on one-way, round-trip and multi-city bookings for domestic and international travel on all direct and through flights. Purchase of a Triple Seat is not applicable to IndiGo’s group bookings. A Triple Seat may only be purchased for the same flight and same date.

Any purchase of a Triple Seat by a customer, as part of round-trip or multi- city booking will be applicable for the whole trip and cannot be purchased for only one leg of a round-trip or multi- city booking.

Changes/Cancelation in Booking: The reservation booked along with Triple Seat cannot be modified. For any modifications, a customer will be required to cancel and make a booking afresh. Charges on account of cancellation will apply to Triple Seats.

Also, cancellation of Triple Seat (s) opted for in the Booking can be done in conjunction with the associated passenger(s) only (and not in isolation) by paying applicable charges for all seats. A Triple Seat cannot be transferred to another passenger in a Booking and may not be encashed.
