IL&FS, Unitech JV bags Rs 136 crore project from PGCIL

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd and its joint venture partner, Unitech Power Transmission Ltd announced on Saturday that they have taken up a contract worth Rs 136.26 crore from Turnkey Transmission Line Project in Gujarat from PGCIL.

The company said that it received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Power Grid Corporation for a project in Gujarat for Supply Contract for Towerr Package, for a transmission line associated with Green Energy Corridors.

The total value of this contract is Rs 136.26 crore and the project is expected to complete in 23 months from the date of issue of the LOA, the company said in a statement.

IL&FS Engineering Services is already executing a 765 KV line project under package TW02 of PGCIL in the same transmission line corridor, a report by PTI stated.

IL&FS Engineering Services will be the lead partner for this contract, the company stated.
