In an official filing to the stock exchange on Tuesday, Infosys stated that the collaboration will begin in the telecommunications sector with a dedicated Anthropic Center of Excellence to build and deploy AI agents tailored to industry-specific operations.
The partnership will begin with the telecommunications sector. Infosys will set up a dedicated Anthropic Center of Excellence. This centre will build AI agents designed for telecom operations and business processes. The collaboration will later expand to other industries.
At the core of the partnership is the integration of Anthropic’s Claude AI models, including Claude Code, with Infosys Topaz AI platform.
The partnership gives Infosys access to advanced AI models and tools. This will strengthen its ability to deliver AI-based transformation services to global clients.
Infosys said it will be able to offer AI agents that can perform complex and multi-step tasks independently. These include claims processing, compliance monitoring, coding, and testing. This will help Infosys move beyond traditional IT services and offer higher-value AI-based services.
The collaboration will deliver industry-specific AI applications across multiple sectors. In telecommunications, AI agents will help carriers modernize network operations, streamline customer lifecycle management, and improve service delivery.
In financial services, AI agents will help firms detect and assess risks faster, automate compliance reporting, and provide more personalized customer interactions based on client history and market conditions.
In manufacturing and engineering, Claude will help accelerate product design and simulation, enabling engineers to test more product iterations and reduce research and development timelines.
In software development, teams will use Claude Code to write, test, and debug code, helping developers move faster from design to production.
Infosys is already deploying Claude Code within its Exponential Engineering organization to build internal expertise and best practices, which will support future client engagements.
