Dr Reddy gets listed on Dow Jones sustainability indices 2016

Dr Reddy's Laboratories today announced its listing on Dow Jones sustainability indices 2016, in the pharmarceuticals.

It said in a statement,"The company has been listed as index component of Dow Jones sustainability Indices (DJSI) 2016 in the pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and life science industry group."

The listing was on the basis of 22 criterion, in which Dr Reddy received high scores in categories namely - Product quality and Recall management, Codes of Business conduct, Environmental reporting, Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy.

G V Prasad, Co-chairman and CEO of Dr Reddy's Laboratories said,” This listing has earned us the trust and respect of all stakeholders we serve. I see our inclusion in the Dow Jones indices as another validation of our commitment to sustainability in all aspects of our business.”

Dr Reddy has been recognized for its corporate sustainability and is the only pharmaceutical company on the index of emerging markets. 

The DJSI tracls leading sustainability-driven companies based on the analysis of financial relevant environmental, social and governance factors.
