Indian competition watchdog the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has ordered investigation against online ticketing platform Bookmyshow for alleged anti-competitive practices.
It has asked the Director General (DG) of Investigation to submit its investigation report in 60 days.

The CCI has ordered the investigation against Bookmyshow's exclusive agreement with theatres.
The investigation is to determin if there is a nexus between Bookmyshow and multiplexes.
The allegation is hefty fee sharing on agreement of 100 per cent ticket quota.
The competition regulator on a prima facie look, doubts that the exclusive agreement with theatres amounts to the voilation of competition rules.
The allegation is that, customers have been incurring additional burden of at least Rs 19-25 per ticket as Bookmyshow is a dominant player in the online ticketing segment
