Bharti Airtel is set to announce its consolidated earnings for the fourth quarter of FY25 on Monday, May 13. As per Zee Business Research, the telecom major is expected to report strong operational performance sequentially, with healthy revenue and EBITDA growth, supported by higher average revenue per user (ARPU), subscriber additions, and gains from the Indus Towers consolidation.
Adjusted profit likely to grow over 10%; headline PAT to decline
Bharti Airtel’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) is estimated at Rs 6,078 crore for Q4FY25, significantly lower than Rs 14,781 crore in Q3FY25. However, the sharp decline is attributed to an exceptional gain of Rs 7,545.6 crore recorded in the base quarter.
Excluding this one-off, adjusted PAT is seen rising by 10.2 per cent QoQ, driven by stable operational efficiency and lower finance costs.
Revenue, EBITDA to show healthy growth
The telecom giant’s revenue is projected at Rs 48,194 crore, up 6.8 per cent over Rs 45,129 crore reported in Q3FY25. Growth is likely to be aided by robust momentum in India’s wireless segment, where subscriber base is expected to have expanded by 3 million during the quarter. Consolidation of Indus Towers operations is also expected to contribute to topline gains.
EBITDA is projected at Rs 26,534 crore, a sequential increase of 7.9 per cent. Margin is likely to expand to 55.1 per cent, compared to 54.5 per cent in Q3.
ARPU expected to inch higher
Airtel’s ARPU a key telecom performance metric is expected at Rs 248, up from Rs 245 in the previous quarter. This implies a QoQ growth of 1.2 per cent, supported by a richer subscriber mix and premiumisation. Analysts expect ARPU to continue improving steadily, with a likely 1.5–2 per cent QoQ rise.
Airtel Africa, home broadband and enterprise businesses also in focus
Airtel Africa is likely to maintain its growth trajectory, contributing positively to the overall performance. Investors will also watch for trends in the home broadband and B2B segments, where Airtel has been expanding its footprint.
With steady execution across verticals, Bharti Airtel is expected to post a good set of Q4 results, barring the distortion from the exceptional item.
