Bajaj Finance Q2 FY26 Results: Pune-headquartered private sector non-banknig financial company (NBFC) Bajaj Finance on Monday reported a net profit of Rs 4,948 crore for the July-September period, marking a 23 per cent year-on-year jump that was better than analysts' expectations.

The NBFC's net interest income -- or the difference between interest earned and interest paid -- grew 22 per cent to Rs 10,785 crore, according to a regulatory filnig.

The NBFC's net profit and revenue were in line with analysts' estimates.

According to Zee Business research, Bajaj Finance's second-quarter net profit and revenue were estimated at Rs 4,888 crore and Rs 10,753 crore, respectively.

Bajaj Finance's asset quality worsened. Its gross non-performing assets (NPAs) -- or gross bad loans -- as a percentage of total loans increased to 1.24 per cent from 1.03 per cent in the previous three months. Net non-performing assets increased to 0.6 per cent in Q2, versus 0.5 per cent in Q1.

Bajaj Finance's assets under management (AUM) jumped 24 per cent to Rs 4,62,261 crore.

On Monday, the NBFC stock rose 1.8 per cent to close at Rs 1,085.4 apiece on BSE, outperforming a Mumbai market that rebounded with mild gains after three straight sessions of losses.

At this level, the Bajaj Finance stock has rewarded investors with a 56.7 per cent return in 2025 so far, outperforming the Nifty 50 and Nifty Financial Services indices' gains of 7.7 per cent and 15.6 per cent, respectively.
