Aditya Birla Health Insurance joins hands with Citibank
Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co. Limited (ABHICL) today announced its Corporate-Agency partnership with Citibank in India. ABHICL is the Health Insurance arm of Aditya Birla Capital Limited.
Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co. Limited (ABHICL) today announced its Corporate-Agency partnership with Citibank in India. ABHICL is the Health Insurance arm of Aditya Birla Capital Limited. The partnership will aim at "combining synergies to enhance the reach of health-based protection solutions to Citi’s consumer client segments", the insurer said in a statement. ABHICL will market its retail products with industry-leading features such as HealthReturnsTM, Chronic Management Program, etc. to suit the needs of Citibank customers.

Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co. Limited is a joint venture between Aditya Birla Group and MMI Holdings of South Africa. ABHICL was incorporated in 2015 wherein Aditya Birla Capital Limited (ABCL) and MMI Strategic Investments (Pty) Ltd. hold 51% and 49% shares respectively.
ABHICL's current product portfolio includes unique offerings including chronic care and incentivized wellness. The insurer recorded a gross premium income of Rs. 3,155 million in nine months of FY2018-19.
