LIBF Expo 2026 draws 35,000+ visitors, highlights India’s expanding role in cross-border trade platforms

LIBF Expo 2026 Mumbai Calling is a multi-sector international trade and business networking event that took place in Mumbai and attracted over 35,000 attendants in three days, indicating the increasing need to create sector-focused platforms to connect Indian business with the rest of the world.

The event had 18+ conferences around the world, 25+ countries were present, it had 30+ industries representation, and 246 exhibitors in the fields of financial services, healthcare, legal services, logistics, manufacturing and infrastructure and emerging technologies.

Expo took place in the Jio World Convention Centre and unified business executives, business institutions, investors, policymakers, and specialists in the sector. Organisers positioned the platform as a bridge between enterprise ecosystems in the markets of India, the Gulf region, Africa, Europe, the UK, North America, and Asia-Pacific.

Over 10,000 edited business and professional attendees were present at industry round-tables, conventions, and trade oriented sessions. The interviewees talked about cross-border growth plans, diversification of supply chains, regulatory management systems and availability of capital in emergent and developed economies.

Players in the industry pointed at the rising attraction in India as a manufacturing facility, and services export destination, and outbound growth of Indian small and medium businesses.

The national industry and governance-related organizations such as the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IMC), the Institute of Directors (IOD) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) also participated in the event.

Education, Social Responsibility and Community Initiatives.

In addition to its trade and business-specific agenda, LIBF Expo 2026 incorporated several social responsibility and community-related initiatives into the platform. These were free stalls with women-led Gruh Udyog businesses, educational and training organizations, and community-oriented organizations; support of the creation of UAE business advisory and international expansion; international awards; and a well-planned education program that helps in capacity building of 100 schools in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Respectability and Representation.

The Expo and related events saw the high-profile policy-makers, institutional heads, defence representatives, jurists, industry members, elected leaders in attendance.

The Inaugural ceremony, blessed by a special video message of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, encouraging the participants to make responsible business, ethical development, and service-based leadership, was honoured by the presence of prominent dignitaries like Vice Admiral Atul Anand, AVSM, VSM, Additional Secretary, Department of Military Affairs, Ministry of Defence, Government of India; Ashish Kumar Chauhan, Managing Director and CEO, National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), and co-founder, CMD, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd.
