Tata Nexon EV MAX 2022 launch: Tata Motors' Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, a specialized EV division, launched the Nexon EV MAX today in India. The Tata Nexon EV MAX is the company's new high-range model to be sold alongside the existing model - the Nexon EV, which is the best-selling electric car in India. The electric vehicle from the homegrown automaker has a range of 437 km with a larger battery pack. Tata Nexon EV MAX SUV will receive some additional features to keep up with competition like MG Astor. The new 40 kWh battery pack will be 30% larger than the current 30.2kWh battery pack in the long-range Nexon EV.

The long-range Tata Nexon EV MAX will receive a bigger battery pack, which is expected to be rated at 40 kWh, which is 30% larger than the current model's 30.2 kWh pack. Compared to Tata Nexon EV's claimed 312 km range on a single charge, the Tata Nexon EV MAX can drive 400-450 km on a single charge.

Apart from the electronic parking brake and wireless charger, other features added to the Tata Nexon EV Max will make it the most feature-rich model in the lineup.

As part of the Nexon EV MAX, Tata Motors has introduced a Multi-Mode Regen feature, which allows customers to easily adjust the level of regenerative braking through switches on the floor console. Based on the driving conditions, customers can choose between 4 regen levels: Level 0 with no recuperative braking, up to Level 3 with single pedal propulsion. As part of the update, the company has added an intuitive feature - auto brake lamps that activate once a certain level of regen is reached, alerting other motorists.

Taking the charging experience to the Max level, the Nexon EV Max will be available with options of a 3.3 kW charger or a 7.2 kW AC fast charger. The 7.2 kW AC fast charger can be installed either at home or at workplace, which helps in reducing charging time to 6.5 hrs. Making it an irresistible proposition, the Nexon EV MAX will support a faster charging time of 0 – 80% in just 56 mins from any 50 kW DC fast charger.

The Nexon EV MAX produces 105 kW (143 PS) of power and delivers an instant torque of 250 Nm available at push of the pedal, resulting in 0 to 100 sprint times in under 9 secs.

The Tata Nexon EV MAX to get a maximum (ARAI-claimed) mileage of 437 km on a single charge, which is 33 percent higher than the Nexon EV, rated at 312 km.
