Top 10 car launches in 2018; Check price, features of these amazing vehicles

The year 2018 has been very eventful for automakers as it witnessed the launch of several amazing cars across segments. Auto major Maruti Suzuki is still the number one carmaker in the country, followed by Hyundai and Mahindra & Mahindra as number 2 and number 3 respectively, in terms of sales and market share. Of these new launches, some passenger cars also received a facelift. Let’s have a look at these popular vehicles, including Compact SUVs, Pseudo SUVs and SUVs, as the year 2018 is coming to an end.

1. Hyundai Santro: This hatchback car from Hyundai's stable made a comeback in 2018, with a complete makeover. The new car flaunted modern amenities like touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a reverse camera, rear AC vents, steering-mounted audio controls, ABS and dual airbags. 2. Hyundai Creta 2018: This highly successful SUV upgrade is priced in the range of Rs 9.44 lakh - Rs 15.04 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Hyundai 2018 Creta SUV got an upgrade in May this year, adding sunroof and revised front and rear bumpers. The Hyundai SUV flaunts a new grille, projector headlamps, 17-inch machine-finished alloy wheels, besides featuring 1.6-litre and 1.4-litre diesel engines and a 1.6-litre petrol motor. 3. Maruti Suzuki Swift: The car was launched in price range of Rs 4.99 Lakh - Rs 8.76 Lakh, sporting more space, better features, better design and better quality. The upgraded new Maruti 2018 Swift is one of the top four best-selling cars in the country. With a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engine, the new Swift comes with an automatic transmission option as well, featuring dual airbags, Isofix child seat mounts, automatic climate control, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system besides having Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a reverse camera. 4. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift: The upgraded Ciaz is priced in the range of Rs 8.19 Lakh - Rs 10.97 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), sporting LEDs - DRLs, fog lamps, projector headlamps, LED tail lamps and 16-inch alloy wheels. The upgraded sedan has a new faux-wood trim, a new coloured MID and cruise control, featuring a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and steering-mounted audio, telephony and cruise controls. 5. Honda Amaze 2018: Priced in the range of Rs 5.59 lakh-Rs 8.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the new 2018 Honda Amaze comes with optional CVT gearbox with both the petrol and diesel engine. It has features including dual front airbags, ABS with EBD & Brake Assist, reverse parking sensors, impact-sensing door locks, Isofix seat anchors and all four power windows. The car also has other features like LED positioning lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, push start/stop button, cruise control, paddle shift and touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and in-built navigation system. 6. Toyota Yaris: The all-new Toyota Yaris is priced in the range of Rs 9.29 lakh - Rs 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Launched in May this year, Yaris is the only vehicle in its category that comes with an optional CVT gearbox in all its variants besides a 6-speed manual transmission. The Toyota sedan has seven airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, disc brakes on all four wheels and ISOFIX child seat anchors, besides featuring projector headlamps, daytime running LEDs, tail lamps with LED graphics, auto climate control with roof-mounted rear AC vents, a 7-inch infotainment system and a powered driver’s seat. 7. Mahindra XUV500 facelift: Mahindra's flagship SUV is priced between Rs 12.39 lakh and Rs 19.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The facelift, launched in April this year, comes with chrome-studded mesh grille, redesigned fog lamp housings, a bigger central air dam, a new LED DRLs layout, tail lamps with triangular wraparound design besides a 17-inch alloy wheels. 8. Mahindra Marazzo: Mahindra's MPV Marazzo is priced between Rs 9.99 and Rs 13.9 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new MPV has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, roof-mounted air-con system, cruise control, besides an automatic climate control. 9. Maruti Suzuki 2018 Ertiga: Priced in the range of Rs 7.44 - Rs 10.9 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), Maruti launched second-gen Ertiga this year. 10. Tata Tiago JTP: With a starting price of Rs 6.39 lakh, the new Tata Tiago JTP has been co-developed by Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives. The new hatchback has a 1.2 -litre turbocharged Revotron petrol engine which delivers 112 bhp and 150 Nm of peak torque.
