Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV: Hyundai Motor India has launched its much-awaited all-electric model - the Hyundai Ioniq 5 - in the country on Wednesday, January 11. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan launched the EV at the Auto Expo 2023 in Greater Noida at an introductory price of Rs 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The model is based on the company's dedicated battery electric vehicle platform E-GMP.
According to Hyundai India, the price of Ioniq 5 is introductory and would hold for the first 500 customers. The electric vehicle was unveiled by the company last year on December 21.
"Ioniq 5 represents our shift towards future mobility with tenets that encapsulate intelligent technology, innovation and sustainability," Hyundai Motor India MD and CEO Unsoo Kim said.

4/7The new Hyundai IONIQ 5 is equipped with V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) feature. It is an innovative technology that allows the user to power electrical appliances up to 3.6 kW from inside and outside the vehicle.

5/7The newly launched Ioniq 5 comes with a range of 631 kilometre per full charge. The electronic motor delivers 160 kW (217 ps) of power and 350 Nm (35.7 kgm) of torque. The EV is capable to charge from 10% - 80% in just 18 minutes using a 350kw DC charger.

6/7Hyundai IONIQ 5 is equipped with 1.19 cm (12.3") touchscreen infotainment system, voice assistant, EV remote charging control, 6 airbags, VESS, EPB, MCB, power child lock, and other features.

7/7In December 2021, Hyundai had announced plans to invest Rs 4,000 crore to drive in around six electric vehicles in India by 2028, PTI said. The company is planning to roll out a mix of models based on its existing range as well as completely new vehicles based on its global platform E-GMP over the next few years.
