Yamaha launches two new motorcycles, unveils first electric scooters in India

Yamaha Motor India has expanded its portfolio with the launch of two new motorcycles — the Yamaha FZ RAVE and Yamaha XSR 155, along with the unveiling of its first-ever electric scooters, the Yamaha Aerox E and Yamaha E-06.

The Yamaha Aerox E and Yamaha E-06 mark the company’s official entry into India’s rapidly growing electric two-wheeler market. The scooters are expected to deliver a range of up to 160 kilometers on a single charge and can reach a top speed of 90 kmph. Yamaha announced that pricing details for the electric scooters will be revealed in the first quarter of 2026.

Among the new motorcycles, the Yamaha FZ RAVE has been launched at a starting price of Rs 1,17,218 (ex-showroom), while the Yamaha XSR 155 is priced from Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Yamaha officials stated that the company is actively working on developing a comprehensive charging ecosystem to support its upcoming electric models. Furthermore, the brand plans to launch 10 new models, including electric scooters, by 2025–26, and update over 20 existing models and variants as part of its future growth strategy in India.

The launch reflects Yamaha’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, aiming to cater to both performance enthusiasts and eco-conscious riders in the evolving Indian two-wheeler market.
