Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) on Friday expanded its purpose-built fleet portfolio with the launch of the XPRES petrol and twin-cylinder CNG variants, following the strong market response to the XPRES EV. With this move, the company aims to deepen its presence in the large fleet and commercial mobility segment across India.
The XPRES Petrol has been introduced at an introductory price of Rs 5.59 lakh, while the XPRES CNG is priced at Rs 6.59 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings for both variants are now open across authorised fleet dealerships nationwide.
The launch reinforces Tata Motors’ multi-powertrain strategy, offering tailored mobility solutions for professional fleet operators. The XPRES range is positioned to cater to high-uptime applications such as airport transfers, cab aggregators, intercity travel, employee transportation, rent-a-car services and tourist taxi operators.
Powered by Tata Motors’ 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine and offered with a manual transmission, the XPRES Petrol and CNG variants are engineered for durability, reliability and sustained commercial usage.
A key highlight of the XPRES CNG is its first-in-segment 70-litre (water capacity) twin-cylinder CNG fuel tank, the highest capacity in the segment, enabling a longer driving range between refuelling stops, the company said. The twin-cylinder configuration also ensures uncompromised boot space, addressing a major operational challenge for fleet operators.
The petrol variant offers the largest boot space in its segment at 419 litres, enhancing luggage-carrying capacity and revenue potential, the company said.
The company claims the XPRES offers the best-in-class pricing among fleet sedans in both petrol and CNG categories, along with a low maintenance cost of Rs 0.47 per km.
Speaking about enhancing the Tata XPRES line-up, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, said, "Responding to the needs of our fleet customers, we are elated to introduce the first-in-segment 70-litre twin-cylinder CNG variant with best-in-segment usable boot space, alongside a petrol variant with the largest boot space. Built on our proven 1.2-litre Revotron powertrain and supported by long-term warranty, tailored finance and dedicated fleet dealerships, Tata XPRES fleet with its complete range of electric and ICE powertrains will offer a complete, future-ready mobility platform to our customers, in turn expanding our market share across India’s commercial mobility landscape.”
To enhance peace of mind for operators, the XPRES ICE fleet comes with a standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km, extendable up to five years or 1,80,000 km, whichever is earlier. Tata Motors is also offering attractive finance solutions customised for fleet customers.
In addition, TMPV has introduced exclusive fleet-focused dealerships across select cities, providing dedicated sales and service support tailored to the needs of commercial customers. The company said this initiative will help ensure faster turnaround times, higher vehicle availability and consistent lifecycle support.
With the addition of petrol and CNG options alongside the existing electric variant, Tata Motors said the XPRES portfolio now offers greater flexibility and growth opportunities for fleet operators across diverse mobility use cases.
