Last week, the TATA.ev, the electric mobility arm of Tata Motors, launched the facelifted version of its popular Tata Punch EV. Priced from Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), the vehicle is available in three personas—Smart, Adventure and Empowered. Customers can also opt for a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model starting at Rs 6.49 lakh, along with a battery EMI of Rs 2.6 per km.
According to the company, the 40 kWh variant delivers an estimated real-world C75 range of around 355 km, with an ARAI-certified (P1+P2) range of 468 km. The 30 kWh version offers an estimated real-world range of 260–275 km. TATA.ev said the larger battery pack is designed to make the Punch.ev suitable not just for daily city use but also for short intercity travel, thereby reducing range anxiety for first-time EV buyers.
The company highlighted enhanced fast-charging capability, stating that the battery can charge from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in 26 minutes using a DC fast charger. It can also add up to 135 km of real-world range in just 15 minutes.
