Suzuki Motorcycle India has updated its popular scooters — the Avenis, Burgman Street, and Burgman Street EX — to meet the latest OBD-2B emission norms, as part of a wider upgrade across its entire two-wheeler range. The refreshed models not only comply with the stricter environmental standards but also continue to offer multiple features and variant choices.
Suzuki Avenis: Updated engine & new special edition
The OBD-2B compliant Suzuki Avenis is now priced at Rs 93,200 (ex-showroom). It continues to be powered by a 124cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine that delivers 8.7PS of power and 10Nm of torque. The updated Avenis is offered in four colour options:
- Glossy Sparkle Black/Pearl Mira Red
- Champion Yellow No 2/Glossy Sparkle Black
- Glossy Sparkle Black/Pearl Glacier White
- Glossy Sparkle Black
A new Special Edition variant has also been introduced, featuring a dual-tone Metallic Matte Black No 2/Matte Titanium Silver paint scheme, priced at Rs 94,000 (ex-showroom).
Suzuki Burgman Street & Burgman Street EX: Colour options & enhanced tech
The Suzuki Burgman range shares the same 124cc OBD-2B-compliant engine found in the Avenis, generating 8.7PS and 10Nm. However, the Burgman Street EX variant features Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha technology, offering benefits like engine auto stop-start and a silent starter system, with a slightly lower output of 8.6PS.
Key highlights of the Burgman Street EX include a larger 12-inch rear wheel and a starting price of Rs 1,16,200 (ex-showroom). It is available in three colour options:
- Metallic Matte Stellar Blue (new)
- Metallic Matte Black No 2
- Metallic Royal Bronze
The standard Burgman Street is priced from Rs 95,800 (ex-showroom) and comes in two variants — Standard Edition and Ride Connect. It is offered in seven colours, including:
- Metallic Matte Black No 2
- Pearl Mirage White
- Metallic Matte Titanium Silver
- Pearl Matte Shadow Green
- Pearl Moon Stone Grey
- Metallic Matte Stellar Blue
- Metallic Matte Black No 2
With this update, Suzuki's complete two-wheeler portfolio — including scooters like Access, Avenis, Burgman Street, and Burgman Street EX, as well as motorcycles like V-Strom, Gixxer SF 250, Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF, and Gixxer — now fully complies with OBD-2B norms.
