Okinawa launches e-scooter 'Praise' in India at Rs 59,899

Okinawa, the electric-two wheeler manufacturing company, has launched its second electric scooter named “Praise” in India at a starting price of Rs 59,899 in ex-showroom Delhi.

Last month, the two wheeler manufacturing company opened booking for the "Praise" at a token amount of Rs 2000.

"The Praise gets a 2500 watt BLDC motor while the charging system is a 72V/45Ah VRLA battery with a charging time of 6-8 hours. Also, customers have an option to opt for a 72V/45Ah Lithium-ion battery which claims to drop charge time to a mere one hour," as per BikeDekho.com

Reportedly, this electric scooter can travel at 72 kilometers per hour and claims to perform from 170 to 200 kilometers on a single charge. It can also jump at a 22-degree gradient with ease.

The company is expected to invest about $40 million in the Indian electric scooter market over the next three years.

On Indian roads, the Praise will compete against electric scooters like Hero Electric Photon and Hero Electric Nyx.
