Morris Garages: SUV MG ZS EV launched in UK! Its price there hints at Indian rates too? Find out
SUV MG ZS EV: The car is set to be launched in the Indian auto market too later this year.

Announcing its entry into the zero-emission vehicle market, British brand Morris Garages has launched its electric car MG ZS EV. Tagged as the first truly affordable, family friendly electric car, MG ZS EV is available from just £21,495 for first 1,000 retail customers. This price includes free home charging point and standard installation. The car is set to be launched in Indian auto market too later this year. And, its UK price tag of £21,495 gives a slight hint about what MG's possible pricing for Indian market. 21,495 pounds roughly translates to Rs 18.5 lakh (1 pound= Rs 86 approx). If this happens, MG may change the EV game and auto market associated with it in India.
With the launch of SUV Hector in India, MG Motor India has already shown that they know how to change the game when it comes to pricing. Hector prices start from Rs 12.18 lakh.
MG Motor UK confirmed in a tweet, "MG ZS EV will start from £24,995 after Plug-in Car Grant. Prices for the first 1,000 units will start from just £21,495, as MG will match the Plug-in Car Grant."

Recently, MG Motor India joined hands with Fortum Charge & Drive India to create DC Fast Charging infrastructure (50 KW) in India ahead of MG EZS launch in the country. The carmaker announced a tie-up with leading Finland-based clean energy major Fortum to install the country’s first 50 KW DC fast-charging EV stations, ahead of the launch of the pure electric SUV later this year.
Under the partnership, Fortum will install 50 KW CCS/CHAdeMO DC fast Public Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles across MG’s showrooms in 5 cities including Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad by September this year to begin with. One such charging station will come up at MG’s flagship showroom in Gurugram. The smart chargers can be accessed by an EV user, having cars compatible with CCS/CHAdeMO charging standards by registering with Fortum Charge & Drive India through its Mobile App.
