MG Motor launches Windsor EV Pro in India at Rs 17.49 lakh; offers 449 km range, new features & tech upgrades

JSW MG Motor India has officially launched the new Windsor EV Pro in India, introducing a host of feature and technology upgrades over the standard model. Priced at an introductory Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 8,000 customers, the EV Pro brings a larger battery, added functionalities, and a refreshed look.

Extended range and upgraded battery

The biggest upgrade comes in the form of a larger 52.9 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of 449 km on a single charge. This is a significant bump over the 332 km range offered by the standard Windsor EV with its 38 kWh battery.

Same power, smarter features

While the powertrain remains unchanged—featuring a 136 hp electric motor that delivers 200 Nm of torque to the front wheels—the Windsor EV Pro focuses on enhancing comfort and connectivity. The exterior design stays largely the same, but gets subtle visual updates including new alloy wheels, an "ADAS" badge on the tailgate, and new paint options such as Celadon Blue, Aurora Silver, and Glaze Red.

Interior and safety enhancements

Inside, the Windsor EV Pro swaps the older black upholstery for a light-coloured interior, adding a more spacious and premium feel. MG has also expanded the feature list to include:

Powered tailgate

Level 2 ADAS features such as traffic jam assist, adaptive cruise control, and more.

New-age capabilities

Another highlight is the introduction of Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) technologies. These allow the EV to power external devices or share energy with other compatible vehicles, making it more versatile and future-ready.

With the Windsor EV Pro, MG Motor continues to strengthen its electric vehicle portfolio in India, catering to customers looking for extended range and next-gen tech at a competitive price point.
