Mercedes-Benz G 450d Launched in India: Luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz launched the all-new G-Class 450d in India on Monday, October 13. According to the company, this vehicle features the most powerful diesel engine in the Mercedes-Benz portfolio. Powered by a powerful 3.0L inline 6-cylinder engine that produces 270 kW and 750 Nm of torque, the all-new G 450d accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds.

Furthermore, with the launch of the G450d, Mercedes-Benz now offers diesel, petrol, and electric powertrains for the iconic G-Class portfolio in India. The ex-showroom price of the Mercedes-Benz G 450d starts at Rs 2.90 crore. And, the company stated that in the initial phase, only 50 exclusive units of the G 450d will be made available to select customers in India.

The G 450d is powered by an all-new six-cylinder inline diesel with a 48-volt on-board electrical system and an integrated starter generator (ISG), providing support at lower engine speeds with an additional 15 kW. The unit delivers 270 kW and a torque of 750 Nm. From a standstill, the G 450d accelerates to 100 kmph in just 5.8 seconds, with a top speed of 210 kmph.

According to the company, the G 450d features the classic G-Class silhouette, with a new radiator grille with four horizontal louvres instead of the previous three. In addition, there are redesigned front and rear bumpers with the front ones featuring a new refreshed look. The vehicle is available with 20-inch AMG alloy wheels in high gloss black with high sheen finish.

Equipped with the latest MBUX NTG7 infotainment system, the G 450d offers 12.3-inch driver and multimedia displays with touch control, smartphone integration via Wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, and USB-C ports for mobile devices. The MBUX Augmented Reality for Navigation superimposes graphical navigation information onto live images.

The interior features AMG line interior theme with Nappa leather upholstery, sporty metal structure trim accents, and a customisable ambient lighting system, including ambient lighting for the air vents.
