Mahindra Thar 2025 Facelift Launched: Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the facelifted version of its popular lifestyle SUV, the Thar, with refreshed styling, new features, and updated technology. Prices range between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new Thar retains its rugged stance with a redesigned front grille, dual-tone bumper, and larger 18-inch alloy wheels. The SUV is now offered in six exterior shades, including two new additions — Tango Red and Battleship Grey.
Inside, the cabin has been given an all-black treatment with a new steering wheel and improved passenger comfort features such as rear AC vents, sliding armrest, door-mounted power windows, rear wash/wiper, and an internally operated fuel lid.
The highlight is a new 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other additions include Type-C USB ports, a Tyre Direction Monitoring System, and Adventure Stats Gen II that displays off-road data like altimeter, trip info, and steering direction.
The SUV continues with its proven 4x4 DNA, offering 41.8-degree approach, 27-degree ramp-over, and 36-degree departure angles, along with 650mm water-wading capacity. Safety features include ESP with roll-over mitigation, hill-hold, hill-descent control, electronic brake locking differential, and a built-in roll cage.
The Thar is offered with three engine options:
- 1.5L mHawk Diesel (117bhp, 300Nm, MT)
- 2.2L mHawk Diesel (130bhp, 300Nm, MT/AT)
- 2.0L mStallion Turbo Petrol (150bhp, 300Nm MT / 320Nm AT)
Buyers can choose from both RWD and 4WD configurations, starting from the AXT RWD MT (Rs 9.99 lakh) up to the top-end LXT 4WD AT Diesel (Rs 16.99 lakh).
Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra are trading in the red. At around 2 PM, the scrip was at Rs 3,458.70, down 0.14 per cent on the NSE.
