Mahindra is gearing up to elevate the SUV game with a smarter, more feature-loaded version of the Scorpio N. The homegrown automaker has teased an upcoming update that hints at the introduction of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2 features, signaling a major tech upgrade for the rugged SUV.
ADAS level 2 on the horizon
The teaser shared by Mahindra showcases illuminated lane markings along with the phrase “Power always stays on course”, strongly suggesting the addition of Lane Keep Assist—a key ADAS function.
While official details are awaited, the ADAS Level 2 package is likely to include:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Lane Departure Warning
- Traffic Sign Recognition
- Automatic Emergency Braking
- Forward Collision Warning
This move could position the Scorpio N as one of the most affordable Indian SUVs to offer such advanced safety features, especially in its top-spec variants.
Expected Feature Upgrades
Apart from ADAS, the updated Scorpio N is also expected to come equipped with premium upgrades, including:
- Panoramic sunroof
- Ventilated front seats
- 360-degree camera
These enhancements are likely to be introduced in a new top-end trim, expanding the SUV’s appeal among tech-savvy buyers.
Engine and powertrain (No changes expected)
Mahindra is expected to retain the proven engine lineup:
- 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (200 bhp, 380 Nm)
- 2.2-litre diesel (172 bhp, 400 Nm)
Both engines will continue to be offered with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options, ensuring a balance of power and versatility.
Interior, comfort and safety
The interior will likely continue with the premium dual-tone black and brown cabin, equipped with:
- 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
- 12-speaker sound system
- Dual-zone climate control
- 7-inch colour MID
- Wireless charging, powered driver seat, auto-dimming IRVM and more
For safety, current features like six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold/descent assist, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX mounts are already present. With the addition of ADAS Level 2, Mahindra is set to take Scorpio N’s safety quotient several notches higher.
