Mahindra Electric Vehicle: Yesterday, Mahindra & Mahindra launched the upgraded version of the widely popular XUV700 in India – the XUV 7XO. And now, according to sources, it is expected that the company is gearing up to launch a new electric car in the country and may unveil it today, January 6.

There is speculation that the upcoming vehicle will be the electric version of the Mahindra XUV3XO, which is actually a facelift version of the XUV300. Currently, the XUV3XO is available in petrol and diesel engine options, which was launched by M&M in April 2024 at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 7.49 lakh. The price of the top variant goes up to Rs 15.49 lakh. Available in five variants, this SUV is equipped with a formidable 1.2-litre turbo engine, which produces a maximum power of 82 kW and a torque of 200 Nm.

The car features infinity tail lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, and excellent ground clearance, all of which further enhance its aesthetic appeal. A unique feature in its segment is its first-ever skyroof.

Inside the cabin, passengers get access to twin HD infotainment screens and a fully digital cluster. Premium features include leatherette seats, electronic parking brake with auto hold, dual-zone climate control, Harman audio system and an ADAS Level 2 system.

In terms of safety, the XUV 3XO offers a suite of advanced features, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, and Smart Pilot Assist.

Last evening, Mahindra launched the XUV 7XO in India, featuring significant design updates, advanced safety features and luxurious technology. It has a starting price of Rs 13.66 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most feature-laden SUVs in its segment. Some changes have also been made to the rear of the SUV, giving it a more premium and sporty look.
