According to the company, Kia India has started the year on a strong note with the launch of its new SUV, Syros. The vehicle has generated significant interest among car buyers, with over 20,000 bookings received so far.
On that account, the company's Sr. Vice President and National Head of Sales & Marketing, Hardeep Singh Brar, said “We are truly delighted by the exceptional response to the Syros in such a short period. We are confident that Syros will not only set new benchmarks for the industry but will also become a disruptor in the sub-compact SUV segment."
Most Syros buyers (67 per cent) chose petrol engines, while 33 per cent opted for diesel. Many customers (46 per cent) preferred the high-end versions. As for colors, Glacier White Pearl was the most popular (32 per cent), followed by Aurora Black Pearl (26 per cent) and Frost Blue (20 per cent).
The Syros was available for pre-booking from January 3, 2025, and was officially launched on February 1, 2025. The price range is between RS 8.99 lakh and RS 16.99 lakh (excluding taxes). Advanced safety features (ADAS) are available for an additional RS 80,000, on top of the highest trim price.
Talking about its features, the Syros is designed for city drivers who want a car with modern features. It has a bold look, a comfortable interior, and advanced technology.
It comes with Kia's latest connectivity system, which offers over 80 features for easy vehicle management. Kia has also introduced two new services: one that lets owners check their car's health remotely, and another that sends reminders for maintenance needs like tire replacements and servicing.
With 18% opting for the variant with advanced safety features. These features include a large display screen, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and reclining rear seats with ventilation. The car's boot space is also flexible and can be adjusted as needed, making it more practical.
