Rajesh Menon, Director General, SIAM, commented that the Indian auto industry was able to keep the sales momentum going in November 2025 due to the festive demand and government support through the progressive GST 2.0 reforms.

“Passenger vehicles, two-wheelers and three-wheelers marked the highest ever sales of November in 2025. Passenger vehicles recorded sales of 4.12 lakh units, with a growth of 18.7 per cent, two-wheelers posted sales of 19.44 lakh units, with a growth of 21.2 per cent and the three-wheeler segment registered sales of 72,000 units, growing by 21.3 per cent, over November 2024,” said Menon.

The industry is optimistic about the projected growth path as a result of the ongoing favourable policy changes and better market sentiments far into 2026, he further explained.

The sale of scooters was particularly remarkable as it went up almost 30 per cent to 735,753 units, which reflects strong urban demand.

The sales of motorcycles went up by a good percentage of 17.5, which accounted for 1,163,751 units across the country, especially due to steady rural and semi-urban buying.

The November figures showed a sizeable rise in three-wheeler sales to the tune of 24.6 per cent, which translates to 59446 units, mostly owing to the demand for passenger carriers.

The segment of goods carriers also gained 10.9 per cent of market share during the reporting month, with the total of unit sales coming up to 10,874, according to the data.

India's passenger car exports increased by 18 per cent year-on-year (YoY) in the April–September period of the current financial year. The increase in demand was primarily from global markets, particularly the Middle East and Latin America.
