Hyundai Motor India on Friday rolled out a new model of its Grand i10 NIOS at a starting prcice of Rs 7.09 lakh (ex-showroom). The VIBE Edition adds a slew of styling and enhanced features to the Grand i10 lineup, including a segment-first dashcam (available in VIBE and Asta) and a new colour: Titan Grey Matte.

The Vibe Edition will be available in Sportz and Sportz (O) trims with manual and automated manual transmission (AMT) options.

The Vibe Edition i10 comes in three variants, priced from Rs 7.09 lakh to Rs 7.73 lakh (ex-showroom):

  • Sportz Vibe MT: Rs 7.09 lakh
  • Sportz Vibe AMT: Rs 7.61 lakh
  • Sportz (O) Vibe AMT: Rs 7.73 lakh

Refreshed looks, a range of features and no mechanical changes

The VIBE Edition only brings cosmetic changes and feature upgrades to the lineup, continuing with its standard 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with MT or AMT gearbox options.

The model features refreshed styling with black theme interior and red accents.

The VIBE gets black-painted 15-inch alloy wheels and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

It also sports projector headlamps, automatic climate control with rear AC vents and cruise control.

The dashboard comes with an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Grand i10 NIOS VIBE safety features

All three variants come with six airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

They will sport a segment-first factory-fitted dashcam supporting driving, emergency/event and vacation modes, a photo capture feature and mobile app connectivity.

This feature has also been added to the carmaker's existing Asta variant for an additional Rs 11,000.

Grand i10 NIOS colour options

The auto maker has added a new shade to the lineup, called Titan Grey Matte.

Hyundai claims this to be the only matte shade in its segment.

Competition

The VIBE Edition is set to compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, the WagonR (higher trims) and the Tata Tiago in the premium entry-level hatchback segment.

At the price point of Rs 7.09-7.73 lakh, it is set to overlap with lower variants of its Hyundai i20 lineup.

The auto maker has positioned the VIBE Edition between budget and premium hatchbacks.
