Hero Vida VX2 electric scooter: Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility division, Vida, has officially teased its newest and most affordable electric scooter offering – the Hero Vida VX2. Scheduled for launch on July 1, 2025, the VX2 aims to make electric commuting more accessible, as Hero MotoCorp positions it below its existing Vida V2 lineup.
Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor in Hero Vida VX2 AD
The brand has kicked off an energetic ad campaign featuring Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, portraying a humorous generational debate over traditional scooters versus modern electric vehicles. The teasers cleverly reflect the shifting consumer mindset toward sustainable mobility, with Ranbir championing the eco-conscious choice.
Unveiled via social media teasers, the Vida VX2 appears to borrow design cues from the Vida Z concept, previously showcased at EICMA 2024 and seen again at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. While the teaser images keep most specs under wraps, the silhouette hints at a practical, urban-focused electric scooter aimed at daily commuters.
According to inside sources and dealership sightings, the VX2 will come in at least two variants, with the top-tier version possibly branded as the Vida VX2 Plus. A bright yellow VX2 Plus has already been spotted at a Vida dealership, suggesting the scooter is ready for rollout.
Hero Vida VX2 electric scooter: Powertrain
Powertrain details remain unconfirmed, but industry speculation suggests the VX2 could be differentiated by two battery options: a 2.2 kWh pack and a 3.4 kWh unit—potentially distinguishing the base and Plus trims. These configurations are expected to influence range and performance, allowing Vida to target both budget-conscious buyers and those seeking extended range.
Hero MotoCorp enters the competitive budget EV market
With the VX2, Hero MotoCorp enters the competitive budget EV market, directly challenging the TVS iQube (entry-level variant) and the newly launched Bajaj Chetak 3001. Positioned as the most affordable Hero electric scooter to date, the Vida VX2 could play a pivotal role in the mainstream adoption of electric two-wheelers in India.
