BMW launches X6 M60i xDrive in India at Rs 1.77 crore; packs 530 hp V8 engine

BMW X6 M60i xDrive Launched in India: BMW India has launched the new BMW X6 M60i xDrive in the country at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.77 crore. The performance Sports Activity Coupé (SAC) will be available as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU).

Powered by a newly developed 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, the BMW X6 M60i xDrive produces 530 hp and 750 Nm of peak torque. Paired with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission and a 48V battery setup, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.3 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph.

Performance-focused engineering

The model comes equipped with BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system, Adaptive M Suspension, M Sport differential and Integral Active Steering with rear-wheel steer to enhance agility and stability. It also features M Sport brakes with red brake callipers, a quad-pipe M Sport exhaust system, M seat belts and 21-inch M light-alloy wheels.

Coupe-inspired design and premium cabin

The X6 M60i features a coupe-style silhouette, slim Adaptive LED headlights with M Shadowline lights, a matt black kidney grille with the M logo, gloss black M exterior mirrors and slim rear lights extending into the tailgate.

Inside, the SUV gets BMW's curved display, combining a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen. Other features include ventilated comfort seats with lumbar support and memory function, a Harman Kardon surround sound system with 16 speakers, ambient lighting, fine wood trim and soft-close doors. Buyers can also opt for massage seats and Crafted Clarity glass controls, said the release.

Connected features and safety

The X6 M60i runs BMW Operating System 8.5 and supports BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, Digital Key Plus, wireless smartphone integration and Remote Software Upgrades. Driver assistance features include Parking Assistant Professional with a 360-degree surround view and Reversing Assistant.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), ISOFIX child seat mounts, a tyre pressure indicator and crash sensors.

BMW India said the X6 M60i is offered in six exterior colours and multiple Sensafin upholstery options. The exterior colours include Aventurine Red, Manhattan Metallic, Brooklyn Grey, Black Sapphire, Mineral White and Isle of Man Green. Upholstery is available in the standard Sensafin trim with an option of Silverstone, Tacora Red/Black, Black and Cognac

Through BMW Financial Services, customers can also opt for BMW SMART Finance, which includes an assured buyback of 60 per cent after three years or 10,000 km.
