BMW F450 GS Launched in India: Luxury automaker BMW has expanded its adventure motorcycle lineup with the launch of the F450 GS in India on Thursday, April 28. The bike has been introduced at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 4.70 lakh that goes up to Rs 5.30 lakh for the top variant.
Powering the motorcycle is a twin-cylinder engine producing 48 hp and 43 Nm of torque. At 178 kg, the bike is relatively light for its segment, which should make it easier to handle in city traffic as well as on broken terrain.
The suspension setup includes upside-down front forks with 180 mm of travel, reinforcing its off-road intentions.
Feature-wise, the F450 GS is loaded in typical BMW fashion. It gets a 6.5-inch TFT display with connectivity features, along with a multi-controller system for easy navigation through menus. Comfort and convenience have also been addressed with heated grips and adjustable levers, which are particularly useful for long-distance touring.
On the safety and riding aids front, the motorcycle comes equipped with ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, Dynamic Brake Control, and Engine Drag Torque Control. Riders also get multiple riding modes including Rain, Road, Enduro, and Enduro Pro, allowing the bike to adapt to different terrains and conditions.
It has a 14-litre fuel tank.
BMW is offering the F450 GS in three variants — Base, Exclusive, and Trophy — giving buyers a choice based on how much equipment and off-road focus they want.
