Bharat Taxi has announced new steps to support its drivers, called Sarathi, and improve safety and comfort for passengers. Bharat Taxi will soon launch a separate ‘Sarathi Didi’ window, where only women drivers will serve women customers.
This special service will help women feel safer while travelling. Only female Sarathis will be available through this window, making rides more secure and comfortable for women.
The Bharat Taxi app offers more than just car rides. Passengers can also book autos and bike or scooty rides. Car drivers on the platform are called ‘Sarathi’, and they aim to give riders safe and trusted service.
To support women’s safety and jobs, the company has started a special ‘Scooty Didi’ initiative. In this service, only women drivers will take women passengers on scooty rides. This step is expected to give safer travel and open new work opportunities for thousands of women.
With this feature, women passengers will be able to get in touch with only female Sarathis. The idea is to make their travel experience more secure, comfortable, and reliable.
The service is expected to provide a sense of security and comfort to the female passengers. But the company has not yet revealed the complete details about this service.
The Bharat Taxi app provides many travel options in one place. Users can choose cars, autos, bikes, or scooty rides. This gives passengers easy and flexible travel based on their needs.
Booking a ride is simple. Passengers can use the official website: www.bharattaxi.com and can call the 24x7 helpline numbers: +91-9696000999 or +91-7607003240, or email info@bharattaxi.com.The Bharat Taxi app is currently available on Android.
With these new steps, Bharat Taxi hopes to improve safety for women and create more jobs at the same time.
Bharat Taxi said that no commission will be taken from drivers’ earnings. Sarathis will pay only a fixed charge. Their income will not be reduced by extra cuts. Also, no account will be closed without a proper hearing. At the same time, drivers must take full care of customer comfort.
Sarathis will get benefits as a gig worker. They can register on the e-Shram portal, like 1.25 crore workers. They will receive up to Rs 5 lakh free medical treatment and other government welfare schemes.
The service was established on 6 June 2025, and its official launch has begun now. In just eight months, it has seen higher registrations than many companies. Eight help centres have already opened in Delhi-NCR. The company says it wants to make Sarathis owners, not just drivers.
