Undoubtedly, the user experience an Apple iPhone provides to its owners is exceptional. So, why not try and replicate the experience in cars? This carmaker actually did! There is stereotype that electric vehicles are less powerful and more inconvenient to own than their petrol-powered counterparts. To break this stereotype, Chinese startup Byton took certain steps. However, the startup said performance metrics are secondary and it was choosing on focusing on interior features which are comparable to features available in Elon Musk supercar Tesla - interior features like cabin space, touchscreens, and adjustable seats, and their ability to make a ride more comfortable.

Byton said it wants to be number one in terms of spending quality time in the car on the move. Passengers will be able to do all the things they would like to do in a very comfortable way, Byton president and co-founder Daniel Kirchert told Business Insider earlier.
Founded in 2016 as Future Mobility Corporation, Byton   has released concepts for two vehicles - the M-Byte SUV and K-Byte sedan. The company is reportedly planning to build a third, a seven-seat MPV.

Byton interior:

Byton want to make electric vehicle as a "smart device," Kirchert said.  The idea idea is evident in the M-Byte and K-Byte concepts.  M-Byte has a 49-inch touchscreen, as well as touchscreens on the steering wheel and the backs of the front seats and also has adjustable seats, gesture control features, and onboard Wi-Fi.

Byton interior:

"The driver should not be tempted being in the car to take out his smartphone again," he said. Byton will sell its car with Level 4 autonomy - which means the car will be able to handle all driving functions in certain scenarios - by the end of 2020.
