2026 Skoda Kushaq Unveiled: Skoda Auto on Tuesday, November 20, unveiled the brand's first car under the India 2.0 strategy - the new Kushaq. The vehicle features segment-first technologies such as an all-new eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission, rear seat massage function and several new features and standard equipment.

The new Kushaq continues the legacy with multiple new segment-first features, while also carrying forward all the practical features from its predecessor, such as electric front seats with ventilation, cruise control, rear-view camera with sensors, wireless charging, among others, said the company, adding, it is the first car built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, which was developed by teams in India and the Czech Republic, keeping in mind affordable ownership and maintenance costs.

According to the company, these are the key highlights of the 2026 Skoda Kushaq:
- The new Kushaq features Skoda's modern solid design language, highlighted by the Monte Carlo badge available since launch.
- Design updates include a new chrome-ribbed grille with an illuminated light band, redesigned LED headlights and fog lamps, integrated LED taillights with sequential indicators and illuminated Skoda lettering at the rear.
- The 2026 Skoda Kushaq is available in new colour options like Shimla Green, Steel Grey and Cherry Red.
- With the launch of the 2026 Skoda Kushaq, the company has introduced a segment-first eight-speed torque converter automatic gearbox with the 1.0 TSI engine.
- Buyers can also opt for a six-speed manual gearbox with the same engine, while the 1.5 TSI engine is available with a seven-speed DSG.
- The 1.0 TSI engine is capable of producing 85kW and 178Nm, while the 1.5 TSI engine is capable of producing 110kW and 250Nm.
- The larger engine also gets disc brakes on all four wheels and active cylinder technology.
- Interior upgrades include a new panoramic sunroof, dual-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats with electric adjustment and a premium Skoda sound system with subwoofer.
- The boot offers 491 litres of luggage space, which can be expanded up to 1,405 litres.
- The higher trims of the Kushaq now feature a 10.25-inch fully digital cockpit, while the mid variants get an 8-inch digital display.
- The new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and introduces a Google-powered voice assistant with Gemini integration.
- Designed for Indian users, the device understands local accents and allows hands-free control of navigation, media, weather and real-time information.
- In terms of safety, the car has received a five-star Global NCAP rating, comes with six airbags as standard and has over 25 safety features across all variants.
2026 Skoda Kushaq: Booking and delivery
Interested customers can pre-book the 2026 Skoda Kushaq at a token price of Rs 15,000, with deliveries starting from March 2026.
