2026 MG Hector launched with dual-tone interiors, 14-inch touchscreen; variant-wise price inside

2026 MG Hector Launched: JSW MG Motor on Monday, December 15, launched the all-new MG Hector in India at a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the company, the car features new front and rear bumper designs, an all-new grille design, new alloy wheels and is available in two new colours - Celadon Blue and Pearl White. Along with that, the 5-seater variant gets a dual-tone Ice Grey theme interior, while the 6 and 7-seater variants get a dual-tone Urban Tan theme interior. The company informed that the diesel variant of the new Hector will be introduced next year (2026).

Speaking on the launch, Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India, said, "The Hector was our maiden nameplate and quickly became synonymous with the MG brand, emerging as one of India’s most loved SUVs with 1,50,000 customers since its debut. With the All-New MG Hector, we take this legacy a notch higher by enhancing its design, comfort, and technology, offering an unmatched value proposition. The SUV is equipped with a host of advanced features, including the largest-in-segment 14-inch HD portrait touchscreen, an all-new & first-in-segment i-SWIPE touch gesture control system, digital Bluetooth key with key-sharing capability, and segment-first predictive maintenance alerts. It also offers remote AC control and a fully digital instrument cluster with a 17.78 cm embedded LCD screen, among other features.

In terms of safety, the new Hector comes with standard features like ABS, EBD, ESP, TCS, hill hold control, and brake assist. It also features a 360° HD camera with a wheel view.

The newly launched SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine (CVT and MT) that produces 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque.

It also comes with features like a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a 35.56 cm (14-inch) HD infotainment system, 8-colour ambient mood lighting and MG's advanced i-Smart connected technology with over 70 features and an advanced ADAS suite.

For added convenience, it features push-button engine start/stop and anti-theft immobilisation with smart key. It also gets an automatic powered tailgate, air purifier with PM 2.5 filter, rain-sensing wipers, remote control for audio, AC and mood lights in the i-Smart app and front parking sensors.
