Auto Sales April 2026: TVS two-wheeler sales up 6% 

TVS Motor Company registers total two-wheeler sales of 4,55,333 units in April 2026, marking a 6 per cent increase over the 4,30,150 units sold a year ago. 

Two-wheeler sales in the domestic market are up 8 per cent at 3,48,545 units.

The company clinches a 36 per cent jump in EV sales to 37,771 units in April 2026. It sold 27,684 EV units a year ago. 

Auto Sales April 2026: TVS sales up 7%, miss mark

TVS Motor Company posts total sales of 4,73,970 units in April 2026 versus 4,43,716 units sold a year ago.

The monthly sales figure fell short of analysts' expectations. 

According to Zee Business research, the auto maker was estimated to log total sales of 5.18 lakh units in April.

TVS Motor says:

• Customer retails for two- and three-wheelers continues to be robust in both domestic and international markets
• Dispatch volumes impacted by lower production due to supply chain constraints, including:
  • workforce availability
  • raw material shortage
  • consumable shortage
  • limited container availability

TVS adds that it has implemented counter measures and expects its production to recover in May.

Its exports are up 3 per cent at 1,20,008 units in April 2026.

Auto Sales April 2026: Toyota Kirloskar Motor total sales rise 17%, domestic sales soar 21%

Toyota Kirloskar Motor clinches total sales of 32,086 units in April 2026, marking 17 per cent growth over the 27,329 units sold in April 2025.

In the domestic market, sales are up 21 per cent at 30,159 units.

Exports, however, are down 23 per cent at 1,927 units.

Auto Sales April 2026: Escorts tractor sales jump 24%

Escorts clinches a 24.4 per cent year-on-year rise in its monthly sales to 10,857 tractors sold.

Domestic sales are up 27.6 per cent at 10,398 units but exports are down 21 per cent at 459 units.

The company says: 

• Domestic tractor industry sustained healthy growth supported by
  • favourable farm sentiment
  • adequate reservoir levels
  • improved rurál liquidity following GST 2.0
  • steady underlying demand
• Increasing input costs may moderate farmer affordability and sentiment in the near term

• Evolving weather conditions, particularly emerging El Nino signals, will continue to be a key monitorable

Auto Sales April 2026: Ola Electric logs 20% sequential rise in registrations

Ola Electric posts 20 per cent growth in registrations to 12,166 units in April citing VAHAN data, up from 10,133 units in the previous month. 

The company claims outperformance to the domestic two-wheeler EV industry. The industry registered a sequential decline of 22 per cent, according to the company. 

Ola Electric says it is the only leading EV two-wheeler brand to grow month-on-month in April.

Auto Sales April 2026: Royal Enfield domestic sales surge 37%  

Royal Enfield's domestic sales are at 1,04,129 units, as against 76,002 units sold a year ago. 

It kicked off the new financial year with its foray into electric mobility with the launch of the Flying Flea C6.

The model has received an "overwhelmingly encouraging response", according to the company.

Auto Sales April 2026: Royal Enfield sales jump 31%, miss analyst estimates

Eicher Motors subsidiary Royal Enfield reports total sales of 1,13,164 motorcycles in April 2026, marking a rise of 31 per cent over the year ago period. The motorcycle maker sold 86,559 units in April 2025.  

According to Zee Business research, RE was estimated to register total sales of 1,17,000 units in April this year.

In the up to 350cc category, the auto maker posts a 34 per cent jump in sales to 99,703 units over the 74,282 units sold a year ago.

Auto Sales April 2026: VECV sales up nearly 7%

Eicher Motors subsidiary VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV) logs total sales of 7,318 units, marking a rise of 6.9 per cent over 6,846 units sold a year ago. Out of those, domestic sales stand at 6,797 units, up 8.6 per cent on a year-on-year basis. 

Exports are down 21.3 per cent at 362 units.

According to Zee Business research, VECV's total sales for the month were estimated at 7,700 units.

The company posts total sales of 7,159 Eicher trucks and buses (including EVs), up 6.6 per cent. 

Auto Sales April 2026: Hyundai Motor domestic sales up 17% 

Hyundai Motor India registers its highest-ever April sales in the domestic market, clinching 17 per cent year-on-year growth to 51,902 units.

Its exports stand at 13,708 units for April 2026. 

Auto Sales April 2026: M&M SUV sales up 8%, overall sales grow 14%

Mahindra & Mahindra posts total sales of 94,627 vehicles in April 2026, marking a rise of 14 per cent over the year-ago period.

Its SUV sales are up 8 per cent at 56,331 units.

Auto Sales April 2026: JSW MG Motor India posts 3% rise in April sales

JSW MG Motor India reports sales of 6,018 units in April, marking a rise of 3 per cent over the year-ago period. 

The company cites challenges posed by the ongoing West Asia crisis. 

The ongoing crisis has disrupted global supply chains and dampened consumer sentiment, leading to softer overall demand in the automotive market, according to the carmaker. 

Auto Sales April 2026: Kia India posts record April sales 

Kia India clinches total sales of 27,286 units in April -- its highest April wholesales since inception.

The monthly sales are up 16 per cent on a year-on-year basis, with momentum driven by Seltos. 

The carmaker sold 23,623 units sold in April 2025. 

Auto Sales April 2026: Tata Motors PV sales surge 31%

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles reports total sales of 59,701 units (including EVs) in April, which translates to a 31.1 per cent year-on-year jump. 

The monthly PV sales missed the mark compared to analysts' expectations. 

According to Zee Business research, Tata Motors PV was estimated to report PV sales of 65,000 units in the first month of FY27.

In April 2025, the PV maker sold 45,532 units. 

Auto Sales April 2026: Hero MotoCorp total sales jump 85%

Hero MotoCorp posts total sales of 5,66,086 units in April 2026 versus 3,05,406 units sold a year ago. 

That is lower compared to what analysts had anticipated. 

According to Zee Business research, Hero MotoCorp was estimated to log total sales of 5.95 lakh units for the month. 

The auto maker says its ICE segment has recorded its highest April dispatch in the post-pandemic period, achieving strong growth with volumes rising 83 per cent over the year-ago period. 

Growth is broad-based across Entry, Deluxe, Premium and Scooter segments, according to the company. 

Auto Sales April 2026: Maruti domestic UV sales jump 32%

Maruti Suzuki India's sales in the UV segment -- comprising its Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris and XL6 models -- are up at 77,892 units from 59,022 units sold a year ago.

Maruti Suzuki India's total PV sales in the domestic market beat analysts' expectations. 

According to Zee Business research, the carmaker was estimated to post total PV sales of 1.67 lakh in the domestic market in April 2026.

Auto Sales April 2026: Maruti Suzuki posts 33% jump in total sales

Maruti Suzuki India -- the country's largest carmaker -- registers total sales of 2,39,646 units in April, versus 1,79,791 units sold in the corresponding month a year ago. 

Total sales in the domestic market increase 31 per cent to 1,99,592 units, from 1,51,88 units sold a year ago. 

Out of these, total passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market rise 35.3 per cent on a year-on-year basis to 1,87,704 units.

Tata Motors clinches total sales of 32,965 CVs in the domestic market in April, a rise of 27.9 per cent over the year-ago period. 

Auto Sales April 2026: Tata Motors CV sales jump 28%

Tata Motors registers total CV sales of 34,833 units in April, marking a rise of 28 per cent over the 27,221 units sold a year ago.

That is higher than analysts' estimates. 

According to Zee Business research, Tata Motors was expected to log total sales of 31,000 CVs for April.
