According to the Chennai-headquartered auto maker, its EV sales continue to grow steadily though disruptions in the EV supply chain, particularly concerning magnet availability, are expected to pose challenges in the short to medium term.
Hero MotoCorp Latest Update: Hero MotoCorp announces a VIDA launch on July 1
According to Hero MotoCorp, VIDA registered 8,361 dispatches and 7,161 VAHAN registrations for its VIDA V2 electric scooter range in May.
VIDA has achieved a VAHAN market share of 7.2 per cent, according to Hero MotoCorp.
According to the auto major, VIDA is "set to electrify the market with a new product launch on July 1, 2025".
VIDA is a Hero MotoCorp sub-brand dedicated to EVs.
Auto Sales May 2025 Update: VECV logs 7% rise in total domestic sales
VECV, a joint venture between Eicher Motors and Volvo Group, registers total sales of 6,758 trucks and buses (including EVs) in the domestic market in May, marking growth of 7.2 per cent over 6,304 units sold a year ago.

Auto Sales May 2025 Update: Maruti Suzuki passenger vehicle production up 1.8%
Maruti Suzuki India reports total production of 1,93,466 passenger vehicles in May, as against 1,89,964 units produced a year ago.
This marks a year-on-year increase of 1.8 per cent.

Auto Sales May 2025 LIVE Update: Kia India clinches 14% sales growth in May
Kia India registers total dispatches of 22,315 units in May, translating to 14.3 per cent growth over 19,500 units sold in the corresponding month a year ago. This marks its strong growth momentum for the fifth month in a row.
The auto maker says Carens Clavis has made a strong debut, setting the stage for its next innovation in July. "Designed to disrupt its segment, the upcoming offering will seamlessly blend sustainability with Kia’s design excellence and advanced technology, thoughtfully engineered to meet the evolving mobility aspirations of Indian consumers," according to a statement.
"The newly launched Carens Clavis received an overwhelming response from customers, reaffirming Kia’s ability to meet evolving consumer expectations and deliver aspirational, value-driven products," it adds.
Auto Sales May 2025 Update: Hero MotoCorp total sales, domestic sales up 2%
Hero MotoCorp logs total sales of 5,07,701 motorcycles and scooters in May, marking an increase of 1.9 per cent on a year-on-year basis.
Its domestic sales grow 2.0 per cent to 4,88,997 units.

Auto Sales May 2025 Update: Hyundai Motor India logs total sales of 58,701 units
Hyundai Motor India, which entered the listed space on Dalal Street in October last year, registers total sales of 58,701 units.
According to the auto major, the availability of a few of its critical models was impacted during the month on account of a scheduled biannual plant maintenance shutdown.
During the month, its total domestic sales stand at 43,861 units and exports at 14,840 units.

In its utility vehicle segment, Maruti Suzuki registers a 1.3 per cent year-on-year rise in total sales to 54,899 units last month.

Auto Sales Update: Maruti Suzuki domestic passenger vehicle sales fall nearly 6% in May
Maruti Suzuki India reports total sales of 1,35,962 passenger vehicles in the domestic market in May, a 5.6 per cent decline compared with 1,44,002 units sold in the corresponding period a year ago.
In the first two months of the current financial year (FY26), the auto giant's passenger vehicle sales stand at 2,74,666 units in the domestic market, as against 2,81,954 units sold a year ago.
