He currently serves as Principal Correspondent at Zee Business, where he covers stories at the intersection of government decision-making, defence, strategic affairs, and regulatory oversight.

Over the course of his career, Anuvesh has also worked with some of the most influential media organisations in India and internationally, including Republic TV, BBC International Desk in Manchester, and Deccan Chronicle (Bangalore edition). This diverse newsroom exposure has shaped his ability to operate seamlessly across fast-paced breaking news environments and complex, institution-heavy beats.

Anuvesh began his journalism career as a crime reporter with Deccan Chronicle in Bengaluru, where he made his mark early by breaking the Vibgyor School CCTV tape case—a high-profile investigation that drew widespread public and institutional attention. The story established his reputation for source-based reporting, persistence, and accuracy at an early stage of his career.

He has since gone on to report extensively on defence and national security matters, including Operation Sindoor, one of India’s key military operations. Anuvesh reported directly from locations from where India launched its retaliatory attack, offering rare on-ground insights. He simultaneously tracked the impact of Indian military action on the Pakistan side, leveraging verified sources and contacts within Pakistan—an uncommon and sensitive cross-border reporting effort that added depth and credibility to his coverage.

Anuvesh also holds a rare international distinction as the only Indian journalist to have interviewed the Deputy Chief of Russian Defence Equipment Exports, along with legendary Russian fighter pilot Sergei. These exclusive interactions provided Indian audiences with first-hand perspectives on Russian defence technology, military aviation, and strategic thinking, reinforcing his standing as a journalist with international access and strategic credibility.

Academically, Anuvesh holds a Master’s degree from the University of Leeds, one of the world’s top-ranked universities. His time at Leeds significantly broadened his global outlook and enabled him to build a strong international network, supported by exposure to students and professionals from across continents. This global perspective continues to inform his reporting on geopolitics, defence cooperation, and international affairs. He also gained valuable editorial experience while working with the BBC International Desk in Manchester, where he was exposed to global newsroom standards and international news operations.
