Cotton futures contract recorded second highest intraday volume of 3,70,700 bales on Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) on February 22, which was valued at about Rs 764 crore.
The open interest on the day stood at 4,30,400 bales, MCX said in a release here.
The stock deposits in MCX accredited warehouses went up by 55.80 percent to a new all-time high of 1,81,200 bales as on March 5, compared to 116,300 bales as on March 5, 2018.
