Discoms for e-mobility: Eight e-scooters inducted for work
A Delhi discom has inducted a fleet of eight e-scooters while another one is in the process of having 11 electric cars as part of a green initiative, the BSES today said.
"The fleet of electric scooters is being deployed in east and Central Delhi, in congested areas, where because of narrow lanes, manoeuvrability is a big challenge. They are being pressed into service for attending to local faults and 'no supply complaints," the discom said in a statement.
BSES in a statement said, "It is committed towards green and sustainable initiatives, which are beneficial both to our consumers, as well as to the society." Promoting e-mobility, a key to attain climate action goals, is one such endeavour, it said.

BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) is inducting 11 electric cars and the order for the same has already been placed. More such vehicles will be inducted into the fleet subsequently. These are being deployed for operational field roles," the statement said.
The fleet of electric cars, to be deployed in south and west Delhi areas, primarily for operations and maintenance use, will be used for transporting officials and material in the field, it said.
