Cardamom prices fell by 2.92 per cent to Rs 830 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid easing demand at the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November declined by Rs 25, or 2.92 per cent to Rs 830 per kg in business turnover of 1 lot.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in December traded lower by Rs 8.20, or 0.84 per cent to Rs 964 per kg in 6 lots.
Analysts said besides profit booking by participants at existing levels, fall in demand in the physical market against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions, mainly weighed on cardamom prices at futures trade.
