The Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Rath Yatra of Bhagwan Raghunath, the region's chief deity, and sought his blessings. He extended greetings to citizens on the occasion and expressed his happiness as this is for the first time he would be a part of the Dussehra festival in Kullu.

Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das participated in Jagannath Rath Yatra in Jharkhand’s Ranchi on Thursday. He pulled the ‘Rath’ along with other devotees. Das offered his prayers to Lord Jagannath. CM Raghubar Das also took to Twitter to greet everyone on the occasion of ‘Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra’.

Final touches have been given to the preparations for Jagannath Rath Yatra in Odisha’s Puri that will commence today. Devotees in large number have gathered in Odisha's coastal city. The city has been decorated beautifully ahead of the festival. Several artists from all over the world are set to participate in the festival. The festivities will conclude on July 12.

Art exhibition is underway at Biju Patnaik International Airport with the theme of Rath Yatra and Jagannath culture to attract tourists. Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi in collaboration with the airport authorities organised the painting exhibition. The exhibition will be held from 2 to 12 July. The Rath Yatra will commence on July 4. The exhibition was inaugurated in presence of Suresh Chandra Hota, first Odia Director of Biju Patnaik International Airport.

Several devotees and artists from all over the world are set to participate in the festival. The festivities will conclude on July 12. West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee is expected to inaugurate the rath yatra in Kolkata.

The official stated that three special trains from Khurda Road will ply towards Puri and two to Khurda Road, while one special train will ply to Bhubaneswar, adding that eight special trains will run for Sandhyadarshan on July 21, while 13 special trains will move to Puri for Bahuda Yatra (return journey of the deities).
