Sanju box office collection: Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju has opened with a gigantic figure of Rs 34.75 crore at the box office on day 1. Sanju collection day 2 logged in at an even bigger Rs 38.60 cr! The most-awaited film of the year, Sanju has been garnering applause for the unparalleled narration of Rajkumar Hirani and the extraordinary performance of Ranbir Kapoor. Apart from being the highest grosser of the year, Sanjay Dutt’s biopic Sanju is also Ranbir Kapoor’s biggest opener at the box-office. Ranbir Kapoor's second highest opening film is Besharam, which collected an impressive amount of Rs 21.56 crore on Day 1. Released in October, 2013 , the film starred Ranbir Kapoor , Pallavi Sharda, Amitosh Nagpal.
Ayan Mukherjee’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, was released in May, 2013 .It had opened at the box office with Rs 19.45 crore and featured Deepika Padukone opposite to Ranbir Kapoor.
Karan Johar’s film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil opened with Rs 13.30 crore. The film was a Diwali 2016 release and also featured Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
