JEE Main result 2018 toppers: Vijaywada boy Bhogi Suraj Krishna tops exam
JEE Main result 2018 toppers list: The Joint Entrance Examination-Mains result was announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education in the evening on Monday and Vijaywada's Bhogi Suraj Krishna was named as the topper.
The JEE Main examination is a prestigious exam for admission to engineering colleges across the country. In the 2nd and 3rd spot were Hemant Kumar Chodipilli from Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan's Parth Laturia respectively.
In the JEE Mains 2018 examination, as many as 10.74 lakh candidates appeared. However, only 2.3 lakh qualified to appear for the JEE-Advanced examination which is an entrance test for admission to IITs and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
Among the other JEE Main 2018 stats was one that revealed the gender break-up of the successful candidates - 1,80,331 boys and 50,693 girls clearing the exam.
The JEE Main 2018 exam was held at 1,621 centres across 112 cities.
