Public companies no longer require government approval for paying salaries beyond certain thresholds to their managerial personnel under the companies law, according to a communication. Relaxing the norms, the Corporate Affairs Ministry Thursday said that in such cases, only approval of shareholders by way of a special resolution would be required.
