Spicejet adds 19 domestic, 3 international new flights to Summer schedule
Low-cost carrier, SpiceJet on Thursday announced the addition of 19 new domestic and three new international flights for its summer schedule, increasing average daily flights to 360.
“To cater to the peak summer rush, from March to October, SpiceJet has launched daily direct flights for sectors like Surat-Jaipur, Surat-Hyderabad, Surat-Goa, Jammu-Dehradun, Jaipur- Chandigarh-Jammu, and Bengaluru-Thiruvananthapuram and Delhi- Thiruvananthapuram,” SpiceJet said.
The company has also introduced flights to Bangkok from Delhi, to Dhaka from Kolkata and to Male from Bengaluru via Thiruvananthapuram; while adding that Dhaka will now be the 7th international destination of the aircraft.
SpiceJet further said, “With the introduction of the summer schedule, the airline will increase its operation to 360 average daily flights.”
The airline also said that due to increase in traffic on specific routes they will be increasing frequencies on certain flights.
Its current average daily flights the company claimed was 340 to 46 destinations, including 39 domestic and 7 international ones.
“In purview of both the leisure and business travellers and considering the tourist and commercial interest attached, the frequencies have been enhanced on sectors including Dehradun-Delhi, (3rd Direct flight) Bengaluru-Vijayawada (3rd Direct flight) Bengaluru-Kochi (2nd direct flight) and among others,” SpiceJet said.
The airline said that bookings for tickets were now open on its website www.spicejet.com, mobile apps and through online travel portals and travel agents.
“In our constant endeavour to serve our passengers better, we have enhanced our summer schedule, considering the upcoming vacations and passenger feedback. We will continue to add more flights to our network that will give our passengers more options to travel with us. SpiceJet has been acknowledged as the most favoured airline in India.
