Rice basmati prices drifted lower by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today owing to slackened demand at prevailing levels.
However, other grains held steady in thin trade.
Traders attributed the weakness in rice basmati prices to fall in demand at existing higher levels.
In the national capital, rice basmati Pusa-1121 slipped to Rs 5,700-5,800 from previous level of Rs 5,800-5,850 per quintal.
